As the hot, muggy summer days roll on up here in the Northeast, we at Square 9® Softworks are working hard to provide you with cutting edge technology and support for your SmartSearch solution software. Year to date, our Professional Services and Development team have not only released SmartSearch version 3.0 but also two service packs (with another two planned before year end). There have been a total of 32 feature enhancements released so far! As our customers and partners provide valuable feedback to our Support & Developers Forum, we are here listening.

For those of you who may of heard rumors of the recent release of Service Pack 2, I encourage you to take part in this new wave of technical accessibility and ease of use. Included in this release are several new features for enhanced document access and management. Below is a list of the new features included in SmartSearch 3.0.2.
- Annotation formatting
Color, border and font adjustments are now available
- Redaction color changes
Redactions can now be applied in multiple colors - Double-click to open a document
Users no longer have to check a record and click open; they can simply double-click on a record to open - Page bursting
Users can burst pages from an open record by dragging them into and Inbox or Archive to create a new record; this new feature gives users the option to retain pages being burst or to delete them from the original record
