Stephen Young
President & CEO

As a founding partner, Stephen Young has built Square 9 Softworks on the fundamentals of developing state-of-the-art content management software that is easy to install, administer and sell. With the experiences and lessons learned over his 20 year industry career, Young has created a solutions focused business model, a solid VAR channel of OED's and system integrators and a growing, profitable company.

Young’s diverse career in Technology includes management positions with First Data Corp and then with Westbrook Technologies as the Regional Manager for the Northeast US and Eastern Canada. As Vice President of Sales with InfiNet Business Systems, Young experienced firsthand the many challenges facing channel partners today while building a multimillion dollar integration company.

   

Anthony Bishop
Vice President of Channel Development

Behind the continuous growth of Square 9 Softworks partner network is the Channel Development team headed by Tony Bishop. With more than 20 years of experience working in both the Office Equipment and Document Management industry, Bishop fully understands and appreciates the value of a strong VAR Channel. More importantly Bishop’s background provides him with firsthand experience in what makes Square 9 a valued partner to our resellers.

Bishops previous industry experiences include tours at DANKA, IKON and most recently heading up the premier software integration firm of InfiNet Business Systems. Bishops diverse knowledge of the printing and document management industry provides Square 9 dealers with invaluable insight into the value of a solution based sales approach.

   

Brian Banet
Chief Technology Officer

Banet is the technical power house behind Square 9's newest SOA based document management system. Brian has grown the adoption and deployment of Square 9's products through a business model focusing on integration and software development services. Banet’s team of Consultants and Software Engineers have quickly transformed Square 9 into a leading provider in the delivery of content management. Through his commitment to solution based development based on individual needs, Banet’s team has turned out several new product “Extenders” to enhance the SmartSearch brand.

With a dedicated career in Information Technology, Banet previously served as Westbrook Technologies Director of Professional Services overseeing the Consulting, Custom Development and Help Desk teams. Banet’s long experience also includes a position of Director of Information Technology with New Haven, CT based Spa Capital, LLC.

   

Brent Wesler
VP of Business Development

 

Before joining Square 9 Softworks as vice president of Business Development, Wesler was vice president of Professional Services with Westbrook Technologies, an enterprise document management manufacturer, where he managed consulting, education, pre-sales and software support.

At Westbrook, Wesler spearheaded three years of triple digit growth and three years of double digit growth from 2002-2008 in consulting service revenues by extension selling into existing accounts, innovating new service-based products that grew high-learning curve services within challenging channel sales model as well as cold calling and onsite visits to potential clients. Wesler also grew customer funded development, maintained an average gross margin of 47% and an astounding 96% staff utilization rate.

Wesler served as technical liaison for large enterprise implementations and provided strategies for product deployments, integrations and security issues. He was also involved in custom object-oriented and Web-based programming projects for customers and enterprise-level product installations.

Prior to joining Westbrook Technologies, Wesler was business development manager and head of operations for RDP Group, a trade show production company based in Avon, CT. In this role, he implemented operational business plans which increased sales and propelled RDP to a leading domestic producer of niche marketing events. Additionally Wesler has held positions within the financial services industries as business development manager at Massachusetts State Employees Credit Union and within the Corporate Actions division at Putnam Investments.

   

Walt Alves
Vice President of Sales

As VP of North American Sales, Walt Alves has been instrumental to Square 9 Softworks’ emergence as an industry leader in Content Management including back to back years of triple digit revenue growth. His responsibilities include management of the Regional Sales team as he works with the business development team to extend the rapidly expanding Square 9 partner channel.

Prior to his role as VP of North American Sales, he served as Northeast Regional Sale Manager after joining Square 9 Softworks in 2007. Walt’s career as an industry professional includes 11 years at IKON Office Solutions’ Professional Services group overseeing solutions based sales in the New England Market. Prior to IKON, he began his technology sales career at QMS as a Sr. Account Executive for state of the art print solutions.
